The 2022 Escalade: The Definition of Luxury

When someone wants to convey that something is top of the line, they call it the Cadillac. If you’ve got the best fruit-chopping, salsa-making blender on the market, you have the Cadillac of blenders. If your kid’s bike is the coolest pedal bike on the block, well, your kid has the Cadillac of pedal bikes. So when you want the best of the best when it comes to vehicles, just ask yourself, “Is there a Cadillac dealer near me?” Your search begins and ends with a trip to Ryan Cadillac Minot, your local Cadillac dealer. Here is where you can get the actual Cadillac of cars. And when you want the Cadillac of SUVs, you’ll want to look into the 2022 Cadillac Escalade.
Escalade Basics
When it comes to what’s inside the Escalade, the base model can be equipped with one of two engine configurations—the first being a 6.2-liter V8 and the other a 3.0-liter Duramax Turbo-Diesel. The specs will differ a little bit for each of these. The V8 engine has a horsepower of 420 and gets 14 miles per gallon (MPG) in the city and 19 miles per gallon on the highway, while the diesel puts out an impressive 277 horsepower and gets 21 MPG in the city and 27 MPG on the highway.
The decision you have to make here is whether or not you want power or fuel efficiency because the difference is quite significant. However, both truck options are capable of towing 8,300 pounds. If you also tend to camp and play in style, 8,300 pounds covers most toy haulers, camp trailers, boats, and multi-vehicle trailers. Both configurations also have 25.5 cubic feet of cargo space with the seats in place, and with all rows of seats down, they can accommodate up to 121 cubic feet of cargo.
The Base Model
OK, the basics are covered. But here at Ryan Cadillac of Minot, we know that no one comes to a Cadillac dealer for a basic vehicle—they come for a luxury one. This means that even the base model of the Escalade is luxurious. Cadillac is so set on providing their drivers the top-of-the-line experience they’ve dubbed their base model the Luxury edition.
Starting with the Luxury trim’s entertainment features, the model is equipped with an almost 17-inch infotainment screen—one of the largest screens put into a vehicle. Cadillac has upped the ante on audio experience as well. The Luxury trim comes with an AKG studio system that plays from 19 speakers! You and your passengers get a surround sound audio experience, making listening to the radio like being in a concert.
The Luxury trim offers more than just top-of-the-line infotainment, though. The exterior of your vehicle will look as good as it sounds, with 22-inch rims that come in a silver finish that matches the other trims across the outside of the vehicle. The Escalade’s distinctive body shape is accented by a patterned grille, roof rack, running boards, exhaust bezel, as well as around the windows, front fascia, and liftgate. These added trimmings enhance the exterior look of the Cadillac Escalade, giving it that extra special edge.
Cadillac wants the interior to feel as good as it looks. Because of this, you can expect 12-way power front seats that are heated and have lumbar adjustment capabilities. While being safe is a necessity and not a luxury, Cadillac has included many features that other manufacturers require you to pay extra for. This makes it easy to keep you and your family safe, making the following safety features feel like a luxury. The Cadillac Escalade comes with The Cadillac Smart System suite of features. This includes—Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Alert, Front and Rear Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist and Warning, Safety Alert Seats, rear seat reminders, HD rearview camera, Surround Vision, teen driver setting capabilities, and Rear and Front Park Assist.

Other Trim Levels
As you can see, the Cadillac is loaded with features, and we haven’t even covered the other trim options. So if the Luxury trim looks appealing to you but feel you might need a little more, Ryan Cadillac Minot has just what you need—Premium Luxury, Sport, Sport Platinum, and Premium Luxury Platinum. It’s a lot to choose from so let’s go through each model.
Premium Luxury
As the name suggests, this trim includes everything from the Luxury trim and more. On the outside, this trim changes the shiny silver for a sleek polished finish on the wheels. It also includes a panoramic sunroof, full-color Head-Up Display, Adaptive Cruise Control, Enhanced Braking and Lane Warning features, a Rear Camera Mirror, and Enhanced Parking Assistance. In addition to all these added features, the Premium Luxury can also have a Performance, or Touring Package added to it. The Performance Package has add-ons like Magnetic Ride Control and a Trailering Integration Package, while the Touring Package is equipped with Air Ride Adaptive Suspension and features like front and rear soft-close/cinching doors. This Premium Luxury trim also has options like Night Vision, Super Cruise Driver Assistance, and Power Assist Steps. If the 19 speakers don’t sound enough like a cinema for you, this trim can also have the audio system upgraded to a whopping 36 speakers.
Sport
The next level of trim is dubbed Sport. The Sport trim builds off of the Premium Luxury trim, in addition to changes in the exterior. From this level, Cadillac changes the exterior trims from silver to a gloss black and swaps the original grille for a sport mesh grille, while the wheels get a polished dark finish as well. Whereas the Premium Luxury trim can have the Performance Package added on, the Sport edition comes with it. Like the Premium Luxury, you also have the option to add the same features like Night Vision, Power Assist Steps, etc.
Sport Platinum
After the Sport trim comes the Sport Platinum, and as the other trims have before it, the Sport Platinum builds off the Sport trim. The changes on this Cadillac SUV for this trim are primarily interior. All of the seats get upgraded with Semi-Aniline leather, and the front seats become 16-way power seats that are both heated and ventilated and come with massage settings. Imagine driving down the street after a long day at work and getting a massage in your car. If that does not scream out luxury, we don’t know what does!
The interior gets a nice leather wrapping, and the rear seats get an infotainment system with dual 22.6-inch displays. These rear screens can function independently, so now you can drive your kids down the street, get a massage, and not hear them arguing in the back seat because they now have the freedom to watch what they want. This trim upgrades the audio to the 36 speaker AKG system, and you can choose to have a refrigerator added to the center console. So imagine this—driving down the street while receiving a massage, drinking a nice cold soda, and no arguing kids in the back seat? Yes, dreams do come true.
Premium Luxury Platinum
If you thought we couldn’t do more, we here at Ryan Cadillac Minot are about to outdo ourselves again. Our final trim level is called Premium Luxury Platinum, and the name speaks for itself. This trim has all the Premium Luxury features and more. It changes the exterior to polished alloy wheels with a dark and laser-etched finish and a grille custom to this trim. The interior gets leather wrapping on basically everything, including the instrument and door panels. This trim also gets the heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats and Semi-Aniline leather for all seats. The audio system gets those coveted 36 speakers, and the rear infotainment features can be found in this trim as well. Like the Sport Platinum, this trim can have a fridge added to the center console. This trim can also be upgraded even further with the Touring Package.
