One of the most notable and new styling features comes with the Sport Trim. Are you ready for 21” multi-spoke wheels? “That’s all?” you ask? No, that is not all. These wheels have pockets finished with diamond-cut alloy. How’s that for exterior luxury? You are not going to find that anywhere else, and small details like this make the XT6 the luxury vehicle it is; you can’t accomplish true refinement through a general washover or color scheme, but only through close attention to detail. But, of course, you’ll be spending most of your time inside the car, which is the real place to be. So, let’s take a look at what happens inside the XT6.

Interior

Now it starts to get more exciting. Open that nicely-accented door and find a truly heightened and refined vehicle interior. With wood accents and leather-appointed seats, you’ll probably want to spend some time just taking in the artistic value of the XT6. Some vehicles feel nice on the inside, but it doesn’t go beyond that; the XT6, on the other hand, will capture your eye and put you in the mood to study the vehicle. While we mentioned wood accents and leather appointments, this is not set in stone, and the vehicle can be accented and appointed with a variety of materials, including carbon fiber and metal. Now that you’ve studied the vehicle a bit, it’s time to sit down. You’ll have plenty of options with three rows of seating. We think you will be pleasantly surprised at how spacious the XT6 is. Able to seat up to seven, the XT6 can also be configured with captain’s chairs for six passengers, but what is lacking in seating will be made up for in comfort. Regardless of which you choose, however, passengers should be quite comfortable with 37.2-inches of standard third-row headroom. This is third-row headroom, mind you: the row that is notorious for being cramped and uncomfortable. The XT6 seeks to avoid this by ensuring that there’s not a bad seat in the house. This generous space also allows easier cargo storage with a maximum cargo capacity (behind the first row) of 78.7 cubic feet. That is not a small number, especially on a luxury vehicle, so get ready to combine luxury with practicality in the XT6.

On the Luxury trim, you’ll have these seats in jet black, and a lunar brushed aluminum trim will nicely compliment the dark complexion. If you step up to Premium Luxury or Sport, you’ll be able to choose from four or five interior color schemes. We personally suggest the Maple Sugar Semi-Aniline leather seats; these add refinement to the vehicle in maintaining the dark complexion (by offering jet black accents) while adding a classiness that goes beyond the darkness, and it is all finished off by chevron-perforated inserts and Fineline Calico wood trimming. The Calico wood in itself is a reason to go with this color scheme; it takes the vehicle’s design to a new level and brings out the excellence of the styling.

Of course, in the modern age, vehicle styling and technology are closely interconnected. The presence of premium technology plays a large role in crafting refinement in a vehicle, so let’s turn our attention to the technology sector of the XT6.

Technology

The 2022 Cadillac XT6 is going big with technology. Let’s get straight to the exciting stuff. Available this year is Super Cruise. This technology is a heightened version of cruise control, which is hands-free in a very real sense using a groundbreaking and innovative system that allows your XT6 to do the driving for you on over 200,000 miles of roads known by the vehicle right here in the United States, and even in Canada. Technology doesn’t get any more convenient than that. All you have to do is stay away and keep your eyes on the road. Road trips could be made much easier, more enjoyable, and less burdensome through this outstanding Super Cruise technology.

While you’re enjoying the excellent features of your XT6, you’ll be well connected with the generously-sized infotainment screen, which is programmed with the Cadillac User Experience. With a variety of in-vehicle apps and access to the phone, you’ll have plenty to utilize with this system. If, however, you prefer to do things your way, you can connect your device by using wireless Apple CarPlay or wireless Android Auto: both of these systems make for a much more personal infotainment experience, and you’ll be able to keep up with message alerts, phone calls, podcasts, music, and more by connecting your phone.
